‘Ho Hey’ – The Lumineers first single in Australia, and lifted from their self-titled album– is fast crossing into the mainstream. How thrilled are we then to bring The Lumineers to Australia for the very first time – and introduce them to their new fans via a debut Bluesfest performance – and select – but limited sideshows.

We can’t wait to see their contagious amalgamation of heart-swelling stomp-and-clap acoustic rock, classic pop, and front-porch folk live.

Things have been moving fast for The Lumineers if their recent successes are anything to go by; a couple of sold out tours across the US, appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno & Conan O'Brien and huge Microsoft Bing commercial sync. Said to be “Bringing fiddle scratching, marching-band snare rolls, parlour-room piano chords, and Kingston Trio guitar strumming to an album that’s long on nostalgic reverie” (Rolling Stone).

The Lumineers’ debut album is getting a lot of attention across the board with their Americana-inflected barnburners in the vein of the Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons in their slow, sultry ballads that suggest the raw revelations of Jeff Buckley and Ryan Adams.

Once drawn in, it’s the live experience that has won the hearts of fans throughout the States and we can’t wait to get a taste on their first ever Australian tour.
